Someone told me it’s a cockerel.
He/she is named Silkie.
Silkie is partridge, 4 months old and these photos are from a couple of days ago.
Silkie has always been outgoing and confident.
My only chicken that will stand still and let me pick it up without moving away.

Let me know if more photos are needed.
Thank you BYC peeps!
I’ll be keeping Silkie regardless of gender.
I love this bird :love

I'm not certain, because I am definitely not a Silkie expert. But I think those are the streamers. I think male. Ours has the same thing coming out of the crest, and I'm 80% certain it means male.
Those literally just started showing up!
Like I just noticed them earlier today.
It makes sense though because they supposedly mature slower and my other teenage boys (not Silkies) started getting their saddle feathers at about 3 months.

Thanks everyone!
I guess I’ll have to adjust my thinking as I had assumed “pullet” all this time lol.
Luckily I can have roosters where I live and I love Silkie very much so he’ll have a place here with us always.
I wasn’t sure I’d like Silkies but this little guy completely won me over and I’m definitely a fan now!
I also have a bantam Cochin cockerel and 2 NN cockerels that were all raised with Silkie. :th
