Sex on blue slate poult

I was wondering if anyone has any clues as to what gender my use slate is so far presenting as. We have been quite back and forth in what it could be. I wanna say female but my roommate did say she saw it display the other day. I have heard that hens will also display as well. Its throwing me for a curve all though because the snood it so small and it does have the mohawk of feathers on the back of the head. Also has not yet gobbled age is approximately 4 or 5 months old. Bird is fairly friendly also dont know if that makes a difference.

Those are awfully big caruncles at that age for a hen.

My impression is that the snood has been damaged possibly by other turkeys.
