I posted about this on a different thread but it got bogged down with my other birds as well and I still don't have a clear answer as to boy or girl with this one. The answers before were basically 50/50 split with either side being very sure. :) S/he is about 5ish weeks old and from a pullet bin, not straight run.

(sorry for this one being upside down, on my computer it's right side up but when I upload it here it gets flipped)

Looks like a pullet to me, what's the age?

That's a tough one. I can see why people are split both ways. The coloring looks pullet-like. But the wattle development indicates a cockerel.

This is a tough one. At five weeks, a cockerel would probably have a bigger comb, and the dark color also suggests pullet. But I got to say, those are some pretty big wattles!

my guess is roo, I have a 7 week old BR and she is darker that this chick and has no waddles at all. but I am not expert. They are all so pretty though!

Pullet. I freaked out about mine at 5 weeks too. Turns out I picked very, very well from the straight run bin - unless somebody pulls a fast one on me, I have 5 pullets and a roo.

Ha, I just thought about that yesterday when I was out with the chickens. I'll get a pic tomorrow when it's light again. :)
