Hello, this is my first post on the forum. I have been learning a lot from reading others posts however and I am gratefull for all the great info.

I wasn't able to find any information on sexing white wyandotte chicks specifically. My chicks are originally from Murray McMurray but I got the eggs from a guy near me. I am noticing that there are two distinct groups at three weeks, one of which has feathered out a bit more fully and appear a bit larger and more upright and another group that has mostly a few feathers on its wings. Am I right to assume that the chicks with more feathers are female? I hope so because I have more of them. Anyway I will post a couple of pics of the two groups. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Is the color of the comb the only indication of the sex? Or does the speed that the birds feather out also point in one direction? It must be different for every type of bird that's why I asked specifically for white wyandottes. Thanks.

Two things tell me that #2 is a cockerel. The size of the comb AND the fact that he's not feathered out well across the wing bows (shoulders).
