Sexing a few different breeds...if you could please... 6 pictures...

my barred rock looks nothing like the picture of yours...
I just posted these pics on your post.lol I'm sorry you had a boy. I did too, but I traded at 4 weeks for this one. The store I go to will take back any chick at any time. Male or female. I've never seen a store like the one I buy my chicks from. They also special order as well without charging us shipping cost.

Everyone tells a different story........ I'm not culling anybody until i either get an egg or a cockadoodledoo!!!(someones advise to me ;-) ) RIR's with large single combs and many breeds can fool you, so hang in with me and try to be patient. I wanted 3 hens to start, figured i get 5 cull roos end up with three, curious like you, i asked around and got told first....all roos next .... all hens next..... a mix (3 different answers!!!!)got paranoid and added 4 SL no guess work, or heartbreaks, because their guaranteed to be hens... because the seller (ha ha) told me my 3 RIR's were all roos at 4weeks!!.....now I have 9 chickens!!! i think all hens!!! Now the chicken math is going to push the limits of my coop. Also, i read somewhere that plan on culling or loosing 20% to miscellaneous causes?( god I hope not!! that would mean 1-2 chickens but at least i'd be down to 7) here's 4 of my chicks today 5.5-6.5 weeks old what do you think? Hens or Roo's? Also I'm pretty sure sex links were all supposed to be hens, boys are hatched a different color(hence easy to sex) and culled prior to sale? My RIR is in the front left, and golden sex link top left, barred rock top left, amber white bottom right........think you've already realized you got the RIR and the Golden SL mixed up :) good luck and i hope you get hens. ALSO, think twice about Craig's list, a young roosters fate on Craig's list(bait for a cock fight, snake food, at least it will be quick!) may be far worse and cruel than in the pot or on the barbecue, is it possible to find a nice farm friend/sucker you trust? any reputable person buying roo's won't be looking on Craig's list for a backyard beginner's stock is my guess?

all girls lol...I think you are safe and I agree, either an egg or a cockadoodledoo...even though hens can doodledoo too lol

Here's my clara at 5 weeks (RIR)
