Sexing a turkey

I don't know what I have. I do wonder why the snood isn't bigger and we've got no gobbles yet. It's pretty large--if it's a hen it's upper end size-wise for the BRs from what I've read. It probably weighs 12 or 13 lbs or something like that. I guess we will wait and see.

It still rarely struts, usually only on warm mornings when first let out of the coop, I've probably seen it strut a total of 8 times or so. It yelps like crazy at any of our visitors and it did strut around my aunt once, who looks almost exactly like me.
 
You will be waiting until she lays that first egg. She is a hen.
 
Just an update here--this turkey's head looks the same except there are more feathers, no elongating snood and no gobble yet. IT does have a little beard though. I guess I'll keep waiting--I'm planning on getting a handful of poults in the spring and I hope I'm able to sex them earlier than a darn year! This guy's coming on 10 months now.
