Sexing Barred Rocks

I can only say that the one whose face is showing looks like a pullet. No big comb or wattles.

Tail feathers and wider white bands point to roo, If only 3 or 4 months old, red comb & waddles do too.

Can u help me with my little one? Is it a girl? The hardware store said she's about 2 weeks old. I've had bad luck with hens (my first flock ended up 3 roos out of 4) so I'm really hoping this is a girl. Thanks!

The legs look like you have a barred rock, but someone more skilled than I would have to tell you the sex. Thanks elissamay! Yes, they did say barred rock. I'm hoping for a hen with this one. I'm so scared to get another roo.

It looks like my barred rock pullets did at that age. I'd say girl but I am fairly new. But like I said mine looked the same and both were girls.
