Sexing Barred Rocks

Pics
MontanaDolohin - I am also close by, Rockville Va. I just bought my first ever chicks. I bought mine from SS on West Broaf and Montpelier Feed and Seed. Both of those places carry sexed pullets. Good luck! I am hoping all of mine are pullets or at least not more than 1 roo.

I'll jump into this old thread - I read it all.
I think my BRs are indeed both girls.
DH wants to keep both BRs and one BO. I was going to keep 2 BOs and 1 BR. Either way, no roosters here which is why the bantam cochin has got to go, so I want to be as sure as I can at this point that they are both girls... or not.

I took 389238 pics while outside with them, but they refused to stand next to each other!

Pics are from today where they are obviously bigger. I put in a couple from their first week.
I tell them apart by - white spots next to beak and whiter head is BR1. The one with no white spots next to her beak and a yellower fluff on her head is BR2. BR2 is a girl. BR1 I go back and forth on.
There is a bantam cochin in some of the pics. He's a he. His comb is red. The BR1 has a pinkish area around the comb, but the comb doesn't seem so pink. So I just don't know.
And feather patterns/stripes. Um, don't know again.

ya'll are very right . and IF it is a roo it will not be wasted- itll be my table or ill get $$ from the table he goes to. i wont write "it" off just yet but ima keep an eye on it hahaha good luck everyone

O.k so I figured this would be the thread to post to ask about my barred rock pullets. They are approx 6 weeks old give or take a few days.I bought them the first day they came in to the feed store along with a Buff orphington(which I adore!)Supposedly they were all sexed pullets. Are they indeed pullets as they were advertised? The first pic is of sweet pea the second pic is camellia.
