Sexing Barred Rocks

Ok, I ordered all females from Murray McMurray, they are 6 weeks old now and after reading a lot of this thread I am very confused, do I have way more boys than I bargained for or just some really pink combed girls? If you need more pictures I will try to get them.

It's hard to see the barring on them, they look a little fluffy,and they look a little younger. But if that info is correct, those should be pullets I think.

I sure hope so! There were some a lot lighter than these so maybe they are pullets.

I'm just posting here to confirm the inevitable. This is my supposedly "female heritage barred rock" who i just over 6 weeks old now. Her name was Fannie, but I've been calling my little transgender chick Frankie for the past 3 weeks or so. Sorry, this one refuses to sit still for a picture. Thoughts?








Oh, and here are a couple of shots from the first few days, when he/she seems to have all the markings of a female:

I can't tel much from the legs, nor the feathering from these..
But that comb at 6 weeks...it's pretty pink...

I think that's a safe bet. He's very light and that comb is pretty developed.
