Sexing buff brahmas

Buff Brahmas cockerels will develop darker orange wing bars where as pullets will not. I'm not seeing any that look like cockerels to me just now. However Brahmas are a slow developing breed so 9 weeks is kinda of right on the bubble as far as saying for certain what sex they are. Give them another couple weeks and watch for darker developing wing bars "shoulders".

They look to be pullets to me. I know my Buff Brahma cockerels feathered out way slower than the females.

Yep pullet. A cockerel would have a dark orange patch on the upper wing a this age.

I also agree that they look like pullets....no indication of cockerels from what I can see.

Every time I try to take a pic, they move:-| Maybe these will work. @Gray Farms in the second pic, is the one on the right showing the orange wing patch you were talking about?

Could be. I can see some darker feathers where you don't want them to be if your wanting a pullet. It may be the light catching funny too. Hard to say. Lets wait another 10-12 days or so and post new pics.
