Aren't they hard to process and are they greasy like some people say they are???I had a neighbor with a drake flock that I used to rehome drakes to. But now that food prices are up I eat them instead.

The Amish do it for $3…. And yes, they are greasy but the fat is SO yummy. I cook it on a rack with a pan under.Aren't they hard to process and are they greasy like some people say they are???
I live quite a ways from any Amish country here. I have heard that they will process them for people though. I am glad you can make good use out of yours. Our Aldi store here sells ducks and they are $35.00 a piece. Frozen on top of that so you are doing good to do it the way you do. Thanks for the info. The Amish do it for $3…. So sorry you lost some of them. They sure are cute and I am glad that you got so many girls! My theory was proven incorrect. The black ducks were small so I thought boy. One is, one is fully quacking. I thought all the gray ducks were girls. The solid and one bibbed are girls, the gray bibbed with white wing tips are boys. 4 are girls, one is a boy, and I’m not sure about the other. Unfortunately both chocolate ones died. One early on and one last week. And a gray bibbed one died when I forgot the light one night. All the others are doing well. Although currently upset I chased them all![]()
