Sexing Chicks: Technique?

So, can I use that technique on my RIR chicks and Golden Buffs? I know the buffs are supposed to be different colors based on sex, but I couldn't tell any difference. They were straight run, maybe they are all one kind. Probably just my inability. My RIR chicks were all female. I have a barred rock chick I thought was female using this technique. Will it work on that one too?

I read somewhere that there was only a difference in the wings for a short amount of time. As in, the roosters will catch up to the hens very quickly, and sometimes the breeds make a difference too. An example is what Aoxa said: my silkies wings are far too shredded and droopy to tell them apart, and they're days old!

Hey guys, just wanted to say that the sexing technique was successful for me :) I definately have 1 Australorp rooster and 1 silkie rooster, and 1 Australorp hen and one silkie hen, as my results said. There's an obvious difference between the genders. : P So apparently I had 100% accuracy this time!! Lucky me, because I was hoping for a pair of each to breed :D I'll probably try this technique again in the future, just to see how it goes.
