At what age can you sex chicks?
I purchased two “production blue” chicks from a local feed store.
they are almost 4 weeks old now.
one has a black comb while the others comb is turning much lighter colored. Is that an indication of male or female?

Also, what age is best to move from brooder to coop? Located in TX and nights aren’t getting below 60 now . Thanks!

the first one looks like a roo, but I am no expert and have never sexed any production blues.

Thank you. Hoping they both are pullets But I thought the same with the 1st one. I guess time will tell. Thanks again
