I have four Dewlap Toulouse, they are about 7 months old. One is larger sort of seems to be the lead goose and has a more pronounced dewlap than the other three. Do Ganders start with that dewlap earlier than females?

Thanks for any response

Generally, the gander will walk a little taller than a goose. One of my geese actually had a feminine facial appearance compared to the ganders. She also walked with her head just a little lower and tucked in just a bit. I don't remember much about the development of the dewlaps. Mine were sexed when I got them so I didn't pay much attention to the dewlap growth rate. Your terms "larger" and "lead" make me think that one could well be a gander.
