Oh kool I will have to remember that trait! Would comb color be definitely changing by this time or no? Thank you so much. I actually have two more to figure out lol.For now pullet. The color is kinda ragged. Give this one another week or two. The only reason I could call cockerel on the first so easily is the rust coloring over the wings. That's very indicative of a male.
Ugh she has brown coloring coming in.For now pullet. The color is kinda ragged. Give this one another week or two. The only reason I could call cockerel on the first so easily is the rust coloring over the wings. That's very indicative of a male.
They were almost as small as the bin of bantams. Now they’re quite a bit smaller than the Americana & Wyandotte chicks that’s the same age. More the size of the Marans that are a week younger. If they're teeny, they could also be bantam. How small are they compared to the others?
I mean, you COULD breed an EE with feathered legs... very possible... but usually hatcheries don't.

What's mine? After reading the first few opening posts, I'm leaning towards cockerel.
It doesn't lay down, it darts all around if I try to catch it.
Almost 8 weeksHow old? Sexing by behavior can be problematic, as some girls will act like boys and visa versa. That said, I'm leaning cockerel based on the comb.
