Im not ruling it out 100% Im just saying the shape of the egg is created when the hen pushes it out because its still soft like dough, depending on how the push it out determines the shape as it hardens, the egg itself is already fertilized when that happens so I dont see how the two can be connected but I will leave the door open 1% lol.
I've cut eggs out of dead hens. They are hard. Calcium carbonate and phosphorus blended in the shell gland is hard.I...
Also, correct me if i'm wrong but chickens eggs are hard before they are laid, they dont harden over time. I know I have taken an egg directly from a vent before now and its been warm and wet but not soft.
No, I didn't mean to tear you down. I think it would be a fun thread, although I have my suspicions about the results. I will be setting 24 polish eggs next Wednesday, and all of those will be pointy, so I can give my results in a couple of months. I don't think anyone was being overly critical of you. I am a skeptic, and I challenge the other skeptics to accept the challengeI am starting to regret posting this now. People seem very adamant that its not true but all i'm asking is to see, if a lot of people try, what kind of percentages we get. If you dont want to do it then thats fine, no one is forcing you too.
There's been other threads where egg shape has been the target of experiment to see if the old wives tale had any credence. I could have sworn lazygardener had done one not too long ago.No, I didn't mean to tear you down. I think it would be a fun thread, although I have my suspicions anout the results.
