Can anyone tell me a way to figure out if an Emden is male or female? I would like to keep 3 out of my flock, 2 females and a male...kinda hard if you can't tell which is which though! Not a great pic, will try to get a better one. (and I know the back one is a duck! - I was trying to get pics of the ducks last night...not the geese!) LOL

I think the neck maybe one way of telling, my Emden gander has a thick neck, I believe the females have slim ones, I know theres probably other ways, but this is one i have heard of.

If they are young, the females might have gray feathers on their wings or on their lower backs. Other than that you'll have to vent sex or wait until they 'tell' you by their behavior.
