I have 13 chicks that are 75% English Orpington and 25% Australorp. They range from 7 weeks to 5 weeks. I’ve been told they are harder to sex until 8-10 weeks of age. When they reach that age, what will I be looking for to distinguish the different sexes? Bigger combs and wattles? I’ve also read about vent sexing. Has anyone had any luck with that?

Post pics. If they are between 5&7 weeks now we may be able to pick out early developed males.

Larger Red combs and wattles. Females only get red when they are close to laying. Can’t vent sex this late I believe.
