"ganders have blue eyes and geese brown eyes"

I found this quote while trying to find out how to sex geese .. Is there any truth in this ?

The geese we have are due to start laying and dont know if they are all female or not ... If i find out that some might be male I might try hatching some of the eggs

In fact most white geese have blue eyes and most non-white geese have non-blue eyes. there are bound to be exceotions to any rule.

I just wait a few months and note which birds like to be on top. Make a note, yup that must be a male.

i was told you can tell by the folds they have between their legs but i normally go by build, length and thickness of necks (boys longer) in mine the gosling boys have longer necks and of course as they get older they get the nobble/ridge on the beak
