Sexing Goslings

My goslings are 3 weeks old on Wednesday. I only have two and would like to know the sex soon. As, if they’re both male, I’ll be giving them to this farmer who lives opposite me. I’m hoping for a pair or two females. I thought I’d ask for opinions here first before taking them to the vet to have feathers sent off (which is costing £20 a bird!).

They are supposedly half Embden, half American. They’re big, I’ll tell you that for free!

I’d be super grateful if anyone can tell me it’s possible to sex them by looking at the pictures below or should I just take them for their feather sexing at the vets? Thanks!

You have a gander and a goose. Sometimes I see goslings in my group eye me like the one in front but not much and usually after about 6 months. See second pic where the back one is sort of pushing the first? She wanting protection. They are pretty! Love, love geese!

Oh wow! That’d be so cool if they are! They’re very close to each other and start crying to swim in their pool together. I let them free range our garden through the day now as it’s been pretty hot here. Fingers crossed for a pair as I would like if they’d raise their own goslings next spring. Thank you!!

Way to young to tell.Have the vet do it for you.IMO At that age .Females aren't going to be seeking protection from the males. Some goslings are just more nervous.Let us know what the vets says. They are beautiful birds.

Thank you. Vet is going to do it this time and show me how to properly pluck feathers to send off, then she said I can do it myself. Will post the results on here when I get them, hopefully within 2/3 weeks!
