Hi! A week or so ago I posted about brown on my chicks and people suggested they were really male red sex linked chicks instead of the pullets I thought they were. Then it came up that there was a possibility that they were actually female amberlinks. Well, I hung onto them and now I'd like some fresh opinions. I bought the chicks from tractor supply out of the pullet bin. They were yellow as babies and then developed brown on their white feathers as they grew. They are now 6 weeks old. They are a pain to take pics of, so hopefully these will be good enough. There's no particular order, but I will lable the pics so they are easily referenced.
1. This one is the most afraid of people and also the meanest.
2. Group shot of 5 out of 6 chicks.
3. The one with the most brown on their feathers and also the calmest. She/he got nipped on the beak, which is the red on the front part of the comb.
4. Same chick as 3.
5. Another group shot. My hens are in the background.
6. They can not stay still, but here's some body shots.
7. The darkest chick with another chick.
8. A white chick which doesn't seem to have any brown on it.
9. White chick next to the mean one.
