Sexing Jumbo coturnix?? what age to tell?

You should be able to tell gender around 5 weeks of age. The females will have speckles on their breast and the males will have a rusty breast.

One of them is louder then the others, its like hes crowing.. also the one that is feathering out most has pretty much white speckled on her chest. I will get some new pictures.

I can usually sex mine by three weeks for the most part. You can look at the quills coming in on the breast and see that the males have a pinkish/reddish color to them. It's a little hard to tell from the pic but my guess would be female at this point.

i can usually tell at 2.5 weeks, 4 weeks is easiest tho. only thing you need to look at is breast color, if there are black spots its female(i don't really go by rust as much, b/c i have some females that are a little rusty colored, but have black spots) all my males have NO black spots, all rust.
