sexing light brahma- updated with pics

I have 2- 8 week old light brahmas that I go back and forth of thinking pullet/cockerels. I keep hearing about rounded vs pointed saddle feathers.
Anybody have thoughts about about my LBs

I am interested in the same thing! Have a light and buff brahma that are completely different looking and make me think the light is a roo but the feather thing is the one area I am not so sure about.

Interesting to see similar aged light brahmas. I am brand new so can't legitimately speculate for you, but am anxious to hear what others think of yours! Funny that you have the same play yard containment I used for mine!

You have two gorgeous looking light brahmas!!! Mine are only 2 weeks old, bought as pullets.

I do not know enough about the breed but do I see one of their combs bigger and redder than the other?

Have you checked out this site: Feathersite.com to compare photos? That might help.

Can you post of pic of the heads straight on showing the comb? You won't see the pointed saddle and hackle feathers yet. The chicks are still a little young yet. The one on the left looks like it might have a more pronounced redder comb. If that is the case, then that one is probably a roo.
