Sexing my 3 week Barred Rocks.

I have 1 week old barred rocks. One is already getting tail feathers way before the others. Wonder if this could be a girl? I heard they feather out first.

I am not too sure.

The first one that has a white spot on the head is a rooster. Basically, all the roosters are lighter in colour and have white spot on their head. The hens will be dark coloured.

That white spot sexing method only works on some Barred Rock heritage lines so I think your best bet is to wait until they are a bit older

Pretty sure this guy is a roo. We call him Yellow head.

OK, so looking at the above info, would it be accurate to say I think we have a pullet on our hands? This baby came from ideal poultry also if that helps. Almost 5 weeks old today
