Hi All,
I am new to keeping chickens - I hatched this one from an egg. It was supposed to be a Wyandotte but I am pretty sure it is an Orpington (as the lady selling me the eggs also has Orpingtons). I am in the UK if that makes any difference. I was wondering if anyone was able to confirm it is an Orpington and if yes, which colour variety? It looks black in the dark but almost has a blue undertone when in the light.
Also, it's 5 weeks old and I was hoping you guys might be able to sex it?
Many thanks!

I think it looks like a pullet. :) Her coloring is blue, and she could possibly be an Orpington. Wyandottes aren’t supposed to have single combs, but occasionally one does pop up. Her legs look pink though, which is the wrong leg color for Wyandotte. I think she’s likely an Orpington.
