Sexing my silkie

can someone tell me my silkies gender I thought “he” was a boy but I am not sure he is six months old

Do silkies get saddle feathers like normal roosters do
Sorry this is my first time owning silkies so I don’t know

I don't know about saddle feathers but I hatched 2 silkies in August and couldn't tell the sex either. one of them not long ago got red on its face so I'm thinking its a boy. I don't think they look like traditional roos... if so I would guess this is a hen. But I'm new to silkies too!

The roos don't really get saddle feathers. But they do get tail feathers. I've heard that it's really hard to sex silkies and have proof, got my roo just after he started crowing. The people who owned him before thought he was a she because he hadn't started crowing yet.
