I’ve got 6 silkies. One black, 1 blue splash, and 4 white. A couple have started laying eggs. The blue splash is definitely a hen and has makes very vocal announcements when she laid an egg. She has no wattles and is fairly broad shaped. One of the whites has wattles and stands more and is narrower.
Suspect a roo? The black is shaped like the blue splash and has no wattles. Maybe a hen? The other 2 whites kinda have wattles. Could be either? Anyhoo, will try to get good pics to show.

OK, Here are pics of my silkies. What do you think?
For sure the blue splash is a hen. Caught her laying an egg and the one white silkie with the prominent wattles I’m pretty sure is a boy.

White silkie in the last two pictures looks like a roo to me. Have you noticed it mounting any hens? Or if you suspect the eggs are fertile?

Yes, I agree. Some eggyolks look fertile. His hairdo is also more swept back and the some streamers appear to be starting to grow at the back of the upper Neck/head.
