Sexing porcelain d'Uccles and a golden Sebright

mine is awful
400

During feeding whenever I feed them he/she will kick my girls and peck them

Oh my! Those aren't the breed for me then! I need nice breeds :)

All of my d'uccles have been very sweet. They are generally a very docile breed and the hens go broody often and make good mothers. As with every breed, there are outliers that may be more agressive.

You can decide for yourself, but all the ones I have had have been very docile. :)

Okay thanks :) The feathery feet are kind of a problem for me though. I don't think I could deal with the cold weather and mud and all that with my situation. Plus their coloring makes them really easy for predators. And I free range. I don't know... they just don't seem right for me. :)

mine had trouble running. He didn't run as fast as the others. The others can book it. I think the feathers on his legs show him down

I trim foot feathers but mine don't run as fast either. Yours look like porcelain to me !?!? Anyway...
1. I love D'Uccles! My buff motthed hatched 13 of 15 of her eggs last week! The man I bought her from at a swap insisted she was a roo. I brought "him" home anyway because he was soooo pretty and hoping the man was wrong! "He" laid an egg the very next day.
2. I bought a mille fleur D'Uccle roo from the man that owns the feed store and he is now about a year old. I absolutely HATE him!!! He pulled the feathers out of my Silkies so badly that I had to take them out. He grabs whatever feathers he can hold of and lets the larger hens pull him around with them "screaming" and 3 other roos go make him let go. He doesn't just pull on the feathers...when he lets loose his beak is full of the feathers he has pulled. I am getting rid of him asap!!!
3. I do love the hens. I can pick up my mottled hen even with her chicks and not having been handled before and she doesn't make a fuss. I have found that to be true with any of those I have ever had. I planning to keep a roo chick to see how he does.

This is my sweet boy. He just started showing us that he's a true boy and it's so funny. He's still working on it but not as loud as some (thank gosh, we aren't supposed to have roosters) he is the sweetest baby. My silkies are little turds and will not let you hold them but he comes right to is and let's my girls hold him all the time.
