i might have an answer for you when you pick a chick up and its head goes down its a hen if it fights to keep its head up its a rooster. always worked for me

At what age can you tell the sex of a R.I.R just by looking at it? does anyone no?

I live in north east Arkansas and RIR pullets run $3.89 each and you better be there when the arrive. They sell out fast!

Its pretty accurate that girls have dark stripes down their heads and boys don't. That s what I always do and have been correct so far!

We tried an experiment one time because we were tired of getting boys.... So we held them by the heads letting the body hand and if they are fairly quiet and just hang they are girls and if they are fighting like crazy they are boys... it is 80% accurate.
