Sexing Silkie

Definitely a hen.

Look at how she stands;

look at her tail--males have a much fuller, taller tail and also have saddle feathers--think of how other breed roos hold their tail. A silkie rooster does the same, but he has a fatter tail;

check out her crest; no streamers or longer hackles.

A year plus and no eggs or crowing?
Anyone? How long for a silkie to lay an egg?

My silkie girls started laying about 6 and half months old my roos started crowing at about 4-5 months old.

Looks like a hen to me. Should be laying. Roosters are usually a little more lanky
