Silkies are a ton of fun to sex.. I'm leaning pullet.. even though bearding inhibits wattles and feathers are still coming in (head and tail/saddle shape are still changing). The nice dark skin may easily hide any reddening but I would expect it still to make it look more mulberry once reddening has started on the fella's. I still see nothing screaming cockerel.

Is that lavender? Or is my screen playing tricks on me? Lav is so faded in Silkies it looks almost white to me at times.

Behavior is sometimes the deadest give away. Silkie boys still act like boys (among their flock mates) for the most part. Not just chest bumping as girls may do.. but running to be the center of every chest bumping match is one example.

Cute bird. :love

She is a cute bird, yes lavender too šŸ˜ I keep calling her a she. Little flo, or ā€œFlorenceā€ as sheā€™s the smallest of my 3.

Iā€™ve a black one too now turned green in tail and wings always been bigger and had hairy feet from the beginning. My Pekin cockerel heads to that one for a bit of fisty cuffs, they are the same age so trying to train them šŸ˜¬ to be nice.
