Our one SS roo was obviously a boy by about 2 weeks--but the 5 week old silkies don't seem to be showing any specific comb, wattles, behaviours, feathering differences, etc. 2 of the 5 are bigger than the others, but I don't know that that means anything. Help?

Thanks!

The old saying goes with silkies "You can't tell sex until they either lay and egg or crow". This is true in some silkies, but typically around 3-4 months, you can start to see the "streamers" on the heads of the boys...plus they begin to develop a bit of a comb.

Yeah...it would be nice to be able to sex them sooner, but darned near impossible!

Thanks--I thought I was missing something!
