I hear that sexing Silkies is really difficult, so maybe I won't be able to tell what Minnie is until she starts laying....or crowing....but I figured I'd share a picture anyway to see if anyone has any thoughts. I took her out to play with her this afternoon and noticed her comb and got a little freaked out. Especially after looking at pictures of Silkie roosters, those combs are really icky looking.
I think she's either 8 or 10 weeks old...my memory's pretty bad tonight. Does that look like an icky Silkie roo comb starting?!?! Unfortunately I had been playing "make your poof look like a mohawk" just before taking this picture, so the poof isn't really an accurate example.
