I'm pretty sure that you will just have to wait to see what gender they are. I'm eager to see how they mature, I've also heard about rounded and pointed eggs determining sex, but I believe that to be untrue. Shape, color and texture depends on the hen, and all of each individual hen's eggs will be similar to each other.this is how most people know which hens lay which eggs. If this "rule" were true, certain hen's would only lay roosters and other hen's would only lay pullets, and we all know that to not be true.

yes true it was just some thing i read
and I set 12 eggs and 5 was clear only two hatched 1 was from a round eggs and the other
from a pointed one the other 5 die in the last 3 days I am putting it down to the eggs was posted from ebay
I am hoping it not my home made incubator

thanks for all your help I will keep you updated

I have bantam layers right now, my Silkie (Curly) lays normal looking white eggs, just small. My silkie mix (Fluffy) lays what I call turbo eggs, they are light brown and look like they shot our of her cloaca at a high rate of speed....lol. Anyway, those are long and skinny.

This is ALL of them, so I am sure shape does not determine sex.

in the chicks 4 have wing feathers like picture 1
and 2 have wing feathers like picture 2
