There is no question it's male. Saddle feathers are super obvious. These are pointy saddle feathers. No hen has those.

Sexing is not guaranteed as it is more an art than a science. I had a Lt brahma cockerel, another sexing mistake by Ideal, about 10 years ago. Sweetest thing. Wish I had kept him, but he wasn't in the plans then. Now, I have breeder type Partridge Brahmas and my blue partridge rooster is the biggest lovebug.
