Is there any way to determine the sex of my chicks (that are 4 weeks old) through there actions? My chicks chase and jump on each other, are they just finding there "pecking" order of does this meen I have boys?

Thanks for your help

Pullets as well as cockerels will flare hackles and mock fight. It's part play and part establishment of the pecking order. Don't start culling because of this behavior.

I posted a picture of my cockeral and though pictures were doubtful his attitude was very much like a cockeral. he's bold, "friendliest" chick, and already leads the group. That was at 4 weeks. Now at 6 weeks he is the one who leads the gals to the coop from the run at night. He's also the most outgoing and I've already seen him try to mount the gals.

Technically no, but my husband can do this every time. I'll show him my newest batch of chicks and he'll say "you know this one is a rooster, and this one too .. right? I don't know how he does it but sure enough 8 weeks later I'm rehoming a little rooster.
