I know when getting straight run ducks, part of the process is waiting a really long time to know what gender you have. I just have a couple of questions.
I have 8 Welsh Harlequins of various ages--the oldest are 6 weeks old and the others are 5 weeks old.
They are getting their feathers but it appears that the oldest ones are all getting very dark plumage--brown on their bellies and backs, gray on their heads with a white collar. The youngest are just starting to get some speckles on their wings.
Does this breed have a second feathering or does this mean I have all drakes? We already have four drakes of different breeds so we were hoping for more females to balance things out.
