I'll have to start doing my own research on this--now, where did I put those numbered leg bands?

OK, will take pics today and now I have 9 to look at! I am glad to hear it dissapears pretty quick, I looked when they got them in (estes) and there were definete pink/grey that is why I wasn't sure what they were. Now the differences are less noticable but still there. Since they were older I got them for 2.50 a piece!! They just got in a new batch of day olds and wanted to move them.

So what do you have if they have colored beaks? I have also heard that you can tell by picking them up and the ones that are the noise makers are usually the girls. But this would be nice to know as my son is doing a 4-H project and ordered different ones from http://www.schlechthatchery.com/index.htm Etta seems to be a very nice person to speak with. Here is a picture of a few

He is hoping to do well at both the local and state level with several different breeds. He also got Pekins which I have noticed in the grown up the different colored beaks.....
