sexing you your chicks

how do you sex your chicks rather than wait till their old enough to tell any advic ewould be gratfully apreciated

some suggest feather sexing, but I think that depends on the breed. The other way is vent sexing. Do a search and you'll find many posts on here. THe vent sexing takes a professional...I don't think I'd dare do it.
