Sexlink question

Okay I just got two black sexlink hens. I am kind of confused about what breed they are. I am pretty sure from researching they are a cross of something. So does anyone know what breeds make up a black sexlink? Are they are certain breed or they chicken mutts and I won't ever know what in them. If they are just mutts how come all black sex links look so much alike. Can anyone help me understand this breed?

You might try posting this question under the sexlink thread, they probably will notice it faster there. Any sexlink is a cross of two breeds who are always genetically a certain color. When the two different colors are crossed, the offspring carry certain color characteristics on the male, female genes.
