Sexlink Thread- Pictures and Discussion

I have 4 golden comets. I just love them.
They have great personalities and have been powerhouse egg layers since they were about 4 and a half months old.


What concerns me is this. Someone in another thread stated that because sex-links are a hybrid egg-layer they probably won't lay for more than 2 years. They also said that their birds didn't live much longer than that stating reproductive issues killed them due to overlaying.


Since this is the sex-link thread I'm really hoping that someone here can tell me for certain that this is a load of crap. I am really enjoying this breed.
 
EE question- So if I use my EE girl and an EE roo for breeding, I won't get EE chicks? Than what will I get? A rainbow/brown thing?

sorry but that is partially true, in my experience (powerhouse egg layers) dont seem to live very long as they weir themselves out. Whereas my two Light Brahma hens that never laid very often still lay occationally and are very healthy. btw, they are not a breed.
