I will be soon but they would likely be a 3 or 4 way cross instead of just one breed with another breed. I'm still thinking about what all I'm wanting to put into the crosses and how many different strains I want to do. I know at least one rose combed strain and one pea-combed strain of Sexlinked Easter/Olive Eggers ( not sure if I want to make them be Black or Red Sexlinks though)

Cool Do you know what breeds he has in him ? Mine will probably be Red Sexlinked EEs or Olive Eggers becuase I am also playing with the idea of Black Sexlinked Broilers.

Do you think Flutter and Lily (both GSL's) meet the breed standards? I'm thinking of entering them in a show.

I think Flutter's good but Lily's comb is a little lopsided...

Since sexlinks are crossbreds and not a breed, they is no standard. But they can be shown as production birds. They will be judged for egg laying ability. The lopsided comb will not matter, it will be judged for color and size but not lopsidedness.

Does anyone have any pictures of sex-linked marans? I am very interested in this cross. In my fantasy world, where I own a dream farm with a huge chicken barn, I would really like to raise wheaten marans. But the thought of having sex linked chicks for ease of telling roos from pullets (and maybe selling some extra pullets on the side) is very appealing. I'm glad to read that wheaten over cuckoo should make sex links. Then I got to thinking, a splash wheaten (from a blue wheaten breeding) over cuckoo hens would give blue sex links (pullets being solid (more or less) blue and cockerels being blue barred) right? Or am I missing something in the genetics here?
