Today was the day that just made me say “enough”. Someone called the city to complain about our roosters — and we don’t keep any!! I don’t want to rat out the people who do, but I also don’t want to be a target because I keep hens. (One of our silkie chicks is starting to look rather manly IMO, but definitely not crowing yet.)

The Swedish Flowers (Strawberry and Taco) are a bit over a year old. They are both solid daily layers. They are also EXTREMELY tame — like “I wanna come in the house” tame. They have a lot of good times left, just not with us.

Strawberry, too busy to look at the camera:

Taco, who is never too busy to look at the camera.

The 16-week-old silkies go by the unoriginal name of Specimen 1 and Specimen 2. They are both all black. S2 is much larger than S1, I’m thinking a possible cockerel. I’ll try to add photos soon, but today has been an absolutely crazy day. Just taking the time to post this is overwhelming right now.

I am so sorry you have to go through this :hugs

They're very pretty, I'm wishing you the best of luck. I hope you don't have to get rid of your hens.

Your Swedish flower hens are gorgeous! Wish I lived close enough I would take them in a heartbeat! I am so sorry you have to do this, it must be devastating. :hugsSome people are A.. H….
I am sure you will have no trouble rehoming them. You can pick and choose probably who they go to. Best of luck.❤️
