Awwww... Lacy is so pretty...

First thing I did this morning... even BEFORE actually getting out of bed... is pull up the site to check on Harley... I just love these new phones... didn't even have to boot up the computer.

Let's see if today is the day...

LET'S GO HARLEY...

I 100% agree not to intervene unless it is necessary. They will come when they are good and ready. You are doing a great job!

a few years ago, i had a nubian doe, that was 168 days from the day i bought her.... she was definatly pregnant... and HUGE . i made the decision to induce... i dont regret doing it BUT it was so scary.... both babies tried coming out at the same time.. when i went in after her not pushing for 20 minutes after her water broke.. i found 2 heads and 4 legs.. took me 30 minutes to get them untangled and delivered... the little doelings were 14 lbs EACH and they barely fit through the birth canal.....

so yeah if she goes wayyy over the last possible due date, i would induce.
but she is only 155 days today so, we will see!! she is still breathing hard and i have seen her paw a few times.. and we wait

This is going to kill me. But at least I got a few hours sleep last night/early this morning!

I'm going to cut down on the caffeine intake today...but if she doesn't have them by bedtime tonight, I might go insane.

Have you separated her for kidding before? The last fb boer doe I had bred to a fb buck (lots of money at the time), I tried to separate for kidding (the only time I tried it), I waited till she was strutted and streaming, put her in the pen (she could still see the other goats) everything stopped, I thought maybe the goo on her was from something else, but her udder was about to burst. I let her out, the next am same thing, I turned her back with the herd and about 6 hours later she had the kids. I swear she just wanted to be with her family (sisters, mother and daughters) and was holding out till I put her back.

she gets seperated every year... for the last 7 years (shes 8 this year)

so she is used to this i promise!

i have no idea what she is up to today, but when she baa's her whoohaa gapes open about 2 inches...

if she doesnt start acting laborish in 3 hours, ill likely let her out for a bit
