Shadow Paints foaling/kidding Thread.Twitch COLT pics pg 477!!

Well, still no kidds from Harley. She looked like she was going to nap a little, but now she's just laying there. Seems to be peaceful & content. AND taking a break from eating!

Well, there's been no obvious signs of labor overnight but looks like she's doing well lying down and happily munching on hay when she's not sleeping. Sweet little girl, glad to see her relaxed and comfortable.

The kids and I were checking in this morning. Good to see her relaxed and not tearing down the stall.

It looked like he had to pop her in the nose area a few times when she had her face next to the foal, I wonder if she was trying to bite her baby? Is she a first time mommy? So glad to see she has settled in with her BIG boy this morning! Your horse tried to kill her foal? Wow, I'll bet that was scary... what did she do, try to trample it?

Thanks for answering all my questions. As you can probably tell, I know next to nothing about horse foaling (or horses) so I tend to ask a lot of questions.

Harley must be too uncomfortable to stay up on her feet now. So instead of standing and munching she has resorted to lying down... and MUNCHING!

At least she's resting, I'm glad to see her lying down instead of standing up all night! Maybe today is the day...

yes, my old arabian mare Miss D tried killing her colt.. she kicked him in the face.. ran him over.. it was horrible!

no problem ill answer any questions as long as i know the answer!

Bailey's horse seems like it might be lame-either that or just stiff from lying down for awhile.
Robin, if you don't ask questions you never learn anything new, right?
