ok, my professional opinion is... i think that tink and harley will NOT kid today. they arent as active as i would like to see them, although they can change their minds very fast...

someone needs to go soon, as my nigerian doe, Cookie is bagging up also, but she isnt due till 2/20 sooo lol im running out of room!! wors comes to worse i can always use laceys stall.. but i would rather not! haha lacey would get mad..


ill post another update before i go to bed.. you may also see me in there later on cleaning out the stall and replacing the straw...

We saw Phoenix Rising's Nigerian Dwarf "Tina" kid this afternoon!

She was huge and she had 3- 2 does and a buck.

the dark area under her tail is the area where the kids will come out or as i call it the 'whoohaa' lol

she is very swollen, very relaxed.

when she is in labor she will stream which is a mucousy discharge. i always try to catch my goats deliveries on my digital camera when im in the stall..

tomorrow its going to be in the mid 20s or early 30s . their first due date is 2/5 im pretty sure that tinker and harley will be the first to kid, with my other 4 does following before the end of the month and of course lets not forget , we also have lacey and a possible 4 other mares due too!! haha


im glad that you got to see tina kid today baby!! it was a good delivery, that farm had a nigi goat deliver QUADS last month!! and they all lived and are healthy!

update tonite, tinker has more discharge, just a little but its still there.. better than none!! i would really like to see her udder get more full, but i guess she could be like her mom, who didnt bag upp until all her kids were born! lol

harleys ligs are softer tonite also, so we will see what they look like in the morning..

i have been out to check her and her bag is bigger and she has more discharge. she has been up and down a lot this morning... and we wait... its supposed to be 30 today!
