Mine laid down but I haven't dealt with enough births to know for sure that that is the norm. I think it is though.

ETA: Mine would stand sometimes during pushing but they were laying down by the time the baby was actually born.

The Phoenix babies are SOO cute!!! I just missed the birth but seeing them running around with their tails wagging is sweet. Come on Harley!! My goat watching addiction started with you!
