I just read the rest of the marestare thread about JoHannah and when I saw the pic of mom and baby, and saw the posts from the owner and attendants of the birth...

Here I am, miles away and worlds apart from those people, and yet I think I can feel some of the helplessness they must have felt for little JoHannah after her ordeal. I can only imagine how broken their hearts were last night, which breaks my heart.

On a better note... what an adorable little curly headed colt! I hope they name him Johann in honor of his mother.

So with her colostrum coming in how close do you think she is?

im stll guessing late nite monday or early morning tues day... she still has more filling to do, the 'crease' in the middle needs to go away. that can happen fast tho! her rear is also really soft, she has a hard time clamping that tail down when i pick it up

a few more days i think!
