Isn't Henry trying to tell you something?
Like "eh chap shouldn't you be roosting in your coop" ?

hope the symptoms clear up quickly Shad; how long will you have to wait for the booster now, do you know?
From the NHS website:
What to do if you have COVID-19 symptoms or COVID-19:
If you have COVID-19, or think you might, wait until you feel better before getting vaccinated.
You should also wait if you have a high temperature or feel particularly unwell with any illness. If you have recently recovered from COVID-19, there's no need to delay getting vaccinated”.

So lets hope for a speedy recovery Shadrach so you can get your seasonal boosters. Took my elderly mother for our Covid & flu jabs yesterday, slightly sore injection sites but otherwise good. Not taking any chances with her, mum is 95 in December.

indeed; you ought to have better protection from getting it than from a vaccine no?
I would have thought so.
There are different types of vaccine and that may make a difference. I don't know what the current vaccines are. What I've read is Covid now has a lot of strains like flue and one vaccine can't cover all the variants.
Doesn't really matter. I've got it at a most inconvienent time and hopefully my annoyance with the whole business will provide the energy to knock the horrid little fecker out.:p

The advice has changed then, or I've got a bit of serious brain fog.:old
I can't quite see the point of having a booster soon after contracting Covid. I'm going to assume that if one didn't die then ones system has made whatever it needed to fight the virus.

Having had a read around the new strains, Pirola and BA.2.86 mutations being the ones they are most concerned about, it seems they really don’t yet know what exactly they are going to be dealing with. Is it able to evade antibodies, is it really infectious & how much protection do we get from infection? You could always wait & see how it all pans out as you probably do have increased protection.

Now we no longer have the ONS (Office for National Statistics) independently crunching the numbers or have any really comprehensive surveillance it’s getting very difficult to predict so it seems to me it’s a case of take your best guess for all of us

Right. Going through the infection protects you afterwards just as wel as a booster. Here they advice to wait 3 months for a booster.
Found a video from the gov. Health department. Where they claim that having both protects best because it works differently.

How do you feel today Shad?
