Kwik is beautiful! Doesn't have at all that awkward teenager aura like my mongrel bantam cockerel. How old is he?

By the way but out of subject...I looked at what type of medication meat chickens and layers are allowed in the EU and it's the opposite way round of what I thought, it's more restricted for laying flocks. They are not allowed anticoccidial whereas it is allowed for broilers. The exact reason why I didn't really get (why it would stay longer in the eggs than in the meat).

I advertised on our online marketplace and a family living in the country was happy to add him to their flock with laying hens.

Its true the anti coccidioses medicines are not in any of the feed you can buy in shops in the NL.
There are several kind of medicines to adress coccidioses. I think the antibiotic coccidioses medicines are not allowed anymore because of the problems we have with resistances. Farmers ask a vet to check for / investigate the type of coccidioses to use the right type of medicine.

Problems with coccidioses occur mainly in an overcrowded environment and regulations are mainly to protect the consumer. Too much residue’s of many chemicals/medicines are not allowed in meat and eggs.

Nowadays there are quit a few alternatives with less and even 0 waiting time for BYC keepers.
If I want to use any of the less harmfull medicines I can buy them in specialised animal shops and online.

Mr. Bumble is still alive as of this morning. My wife had no luck trying to get him to eat or drink yesterday. I got him to drink half a capful of water and a tiny amount of feed before work today. He did perk up when I brought in the bag of dried grubs and gave it a shake. He did take a few from my hand. I left a handful for him. Hopefully he's improved by the time I get home from work.

Sad (Shad doesn’t think people mean it when they say sorry, which is why I said sad.). I lost two with confirmed cancer within the last several months. Lost another to what appeared to be a septic infection, but no necropsy on her.

My tina has had laying problems since I used medicated feed. She been in pain while trying to lay

Today I had no other alternative other than to give her an Epsom wash then I inserted oil inside her vent.

Finally after 3 days this came out
